We like to help improve the standard of IT, engineering, process, policy and financial communication that floats around the world.

In an age where the English language is twisted, truncated, abused and ignored we like to do our bit to make the message clear.

Why?

Unclear written communication makes an IT, engineering, financial or general business process confusing and stressful; impacting productivity and sometimes safety; often leading to system faults, perhaps injury, customer dissatisfaction and financial penalty. Before they know it parties are then using consultants and lawyers to sort out the mess. Just because someone did not say what they meant simply, clearly and at the right level for the "audience".

A major cause of disputes between banking customers and their banks is that of poor documentation. Documentation that was unclear, too complex or just poorly written. We have seen many debt and equity information documents and term sheets which just make no sense...creating work for many lawyers as they try to sort out the resulting disputes from misinterpretations.

A major Australian waste industry business spent $12 million on a new software implementation. Neither they nor the software vendor thought to spend a little more and create user documentation and training material. The result: staff uproar with many users refusing to use a new system which they had not been trained to use.
